As a film music composer, I seek to enhance underlying emotions and drive that already exist in the film, especially in the mind of the director and writer, as well as bring a new aspect to the aural experience of the film. Music is something that has, since the beginning, been a tool to voice the unspeakable things of the human soul. As such, the right music at the right time in film and media does not simply add some gimmick that an audience might expect, but it connects the viewer to the characters and world of the film in a whole new dimension. Using state of the art technology as well as art music forms and theory, I seek to combine whatever sounds necessary in a tasteful manner to achieve the desired effect on the listener. 

My goal as a film music composer is to become apart of the story telling in order to enhance the final product, it is not to pull the spot light onto myself as some composers tend to do. Timmy Milner is a singer-songwriter and composer, writing alternative music that rests in a folk-rock sound, while utilizing the compositional strengths of classical music.

When writing music for film, Timmy lets music highlight the story and emotions that are already there, in the movie. There’s some sort of magic in music that really becomes obvious when mixing with the magic of film.
